Congratulations! You are now the owner of quality, handmade with love, beaded gemstone jewelry!! Great!! Now, how do you care for it? As is the case with anything else of value, its essential that you have a proper understanding of how to care for your beads. Follow the tips listed below and the beads themselves will retain every bit of their natural beauty!

Proper storage 

• Choose a designated place that is safe, clean and dry
• Keep out of direct sunlight
• If possible, arrange them on a soft lined jewelry rack or in a drawer.

Wise wearing

• Avoid wearing when doing household chores or working outdoors. 
• Avoid contact with harsh chemicals 
• Do not wear while showering or swimming
• Wait until you've finished applying makeup, hair spray, lotions, and perfumes before putting on your beaded jewelry.

Cleaning 

• Wipe your beads clean of any oil or residue with a clean damp cloth. Don't use jewelry cleaner as it will cause damage to the gemstones. 
• Use a jewelry cleaning or anti-tarnishing cloth to clean and polish your charms. 

Most naturally colored gemstones and beads are treated in order to enhance their appearance and to resist wear and tear. However, such treatments DO NOT make them indestructible. Keeping the tips listed above in mind will help keep your beaded jewelry brilliant and beautiful for many years to come!
